On October 11 the students of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School ran their hearts out at Lichtenberger Park for our annual Jog-A-Thon. One of our two major fundraisers of the year, students enjoy this opportunity to get moving, take in the fresh air, and spend time outside with their friends – all for a great cause!

Grades Kindergarten through 8th prepared for the event with weeks’ worth of running practice during PE instruction. Our school families pulled their weight, too! Class of 2020 Dad and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Track Coach, Mr. Scott Christian, volunteered to run with the students for the entire duration of the Jog-A-Thon – for perspective, that’s 3 ½ hours of non-stop cardio. He racked up a total of 69 laps! We thank him for his enthusiasm and resilience.

Dozens of parents holding colorful signs, lined up throughout the course to cheer and high-five runners. Mr. Garcia channeled his creative talents into the logo design for our Jog-A-Thon wear. Mr. and Mrs. Bozarth generously provided lunches and snacks to refuel all the student athletes. Our committed Jog-A-Thon chairs, Mrs. Kruse and Mrs. Calderon, worked on the scene and behind the scenes for weeks to make this event run smoothly.

We appreciate the generous support of our parents, grandparents, extended family, and friends of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton community who made individual pledges and pledges toward student laps. Truly, every dollar counts! The funds raised during Jog-A-Thon will enhance the educational experiences we offer our students and their families, and keep tuition costs low.
